Sealing: Crema Marfil marble should be sealed with a high-quality penetrating stone sealer prior to installation and re-sealed every 12 months in dry areas, or every 6 months in wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors. The light ivory tone of this stone makes sealing especially critical to prevent staining from oils, soaps, and colored liquids.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner or a mild dish soap diluted in warm water — never use vinegar, citrus-based cleaners, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline product, as these will etch the polished surface and permanently dull its finish. Wipe up spills immediately, particularly coffee, wine, and citrus juices. Avoid abrasive scrubbing pads that can scratch the high-gloss surface.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray adhesive from telegraphing through the semi-translucent stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to spreading thinset on the substrate to ensure full coverage and eliminate voids. Use unsanded or fine-sanded grout in a warm ivory or beige tone to complement the stone. Allow tiles to acclimate to room temperature before installation and dry-lay a section first to blend any tonal variation across tiles.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.

Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
