Empress Green Marble Tile Collection

Empress Green Marble

Rich green natural marble with dramatic veining for elegant floors, walls, bathrooms, showers, backsplashes, and statement interiors.

About Empress Green Marble Tumbled Tile

Material Education

Empress Green is a rich, verdant marble quarried in Asia, prized for its deep forest-green base interlaced with contrasting veins of white, gold, and occasional black. The stone exhibits a dense, crystalline matrix that gives it a sense of depth and luxury rarely found in other green natural stones. Its earthy yet regal palette makes it one of the most distinctive green marbles available on the market.

As a product of nature, each tile will display its own unique arrangement of veining, tonal shifts, and mineral inclusions — these variations are the hallmark of authentic natural marble and contribute to the one-of-a-kind character of every installation.

About this tile: This 12×12 field tile is finished with a tumbled process that softens all edges and corners, lending the surface a naturally aged, rustic texture. The antique-style weathering makes it ideal for installations where an old-world or artisanal aesthetic is desired.

Design & Inspiration

Empress Green's moody, jewel-toned palette pairs beautifully with warm brass fixtures, dark walnut cabinetry, and cream or ivory grout to create interiors that feel both earthy and opulent. It is equally at home in Mediterranean, Tuscan, bohemian, and transitional design styles.

The 12×12 format offers versatility for both floor and wall applications, while the tumbled finish softens the grandeur of the green stone into something approachable and warm. Laid in a straight-set or diagonal pattern, it transforms patios, mudrooms, and feature walls into richly textured focal points.

Popular design combinations: Empress Green tumbled tile floors paired with terracotta accent tiles, unlacquered brass hardware, and whitewashed plaster walls for a warm Mediterranean retreat. Empress Green Marble is a dramatic natural stone sourced from Asia, featuring a deep forest-green body threaded with white, gold, and black veining that gives each tile a painterly, one-of-a-kind appearance. Its dense crystalline structure adds a sense of weight and permanence that makes it a standout choice for statement installations.

The tumbled finish rounds off the tile's edges and imparts a naturally weathered, antiqued surface texture that diffuses light softly and conceals minor wear over time. This finish makes the 12×12 format particularly well-suited to rustic, Mediterranean, and old-world interiors where a lived-in elegance is the goal.

Empress Green tumbled tile is ideal for entryway floors, outdoor patios, feature walls, and garden spaces where a bold natural aesthetic is desired. Because this is a clearance or specialty item, we recommend ordering a sample first to confirm color match, and purchasing 10–15% overage to account for cuts and future repairs.

Free Shipping: This product ships at standard freight rates calculated at checkout based on your location and order size.

Processing & Delivery: Orders are processed within 2–3 business days. Large orders ship via LTL freight — curbside delivery only. An adult must be present to sign for delivery. Estimated transit: 2–10 business days after shipment.

30-Day Returns: Uninstalled tile may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Inspect all tile carefully before installation — installed tile cannot be returned or exchanged. Samples are final sale.

Exclusions: Free shipping does not apply to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses. Additional charges may apply for remote delivery areas.

Sealing: Empress Green marble must be sealed with a penetrating stone sealer before installation and grout application. Reseal every 12–18 months in bathroom and outdoor applications, or annually in high-traffic floor areas. The tumbled surface's texture can trap moisture, making thorough sealing especially important.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft mop or cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar, lemon-based products, and anything abrasive — acids will etch and dull the marble's surface even on tumbled finishes. Wipe up spills promptly, especially oils, wine, and citrus.

Installation: Use a white or grey polymer-modified thinset to avoid color bleed-through into the stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to applying thinset to the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent lippage. Use a sanded grout appropriate for joints wider than 1/8 inch — the tumbled edge profile typically results in slightly wider grout lines. For outdoor installation, ensure proper slope for drainage and use a frost-resistant setting mortar in cold climates.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Order 10% overage for cuts, waste, and future repairs. Tile & Mosaic Depot specialists are available M–F 8:30AM–5PM PST at 855-797-8453.

Why Order a Sample
A screen can't show you how Calacatta veining reads under your kitchen lights or how a porcelain finish sits next to your cabinet color. A sample can. It's the single best way to buy stone or porcelain tile with confidence — and the cheapest mistake you'll ever avoid.

How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

Good to Know

  • Samples are final sale — non-returnable and non-refundable.
  • We recommend sampling before every full order, especially for natural stone.
  • Larger or custom quantity? Contact us for a tailored quote.

Talk to a Specialist
Our stone and tile specialists will help you narrow it down. Call (855) 797-8453 or email sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5 PM PT.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free Shipping
Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Questions Before You Order?
Call (855) 797-8453 or email sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com, Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5 PM PT. If you're unsure about freight access at your address, ask us before checkout — we'll flag anything that could hold up delivery.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.

Responsibility
Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. We are not responsible for installation, labor costs, substrate conditions, setting materials, product misuse, or damage from handling, sealing, maintenance, or chemicals. No claims, returns, or replacements are accepted on installed material.
