Sealing: Gascogne Beige Limestone must be sealed with a penetrating, pH-neutral impregnating sealer before grouting and use. In wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors, reseal annually to protect against moisture infiltration and staining. The honed finish, while more forgiving than polished, is still porous and will absorb liquids if left unsealed.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water — never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus), bleach, or abrasive scrubs, as these will etch and dull the limestone surface. Blot spills immediately, especially oils and wine, to prevent staining. Avoid steam cleaners, which can drive moisture into the stone and compromise the sealer.

Installation: Use a white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray show-through on this pale stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to applying thinset to the substrate to ensure full coverage and eliminate hollow spots, especially on floors. Use unsanded or fine sanded grout depending on joint width, and allow thinset to cure fully before grouting. Level carefully as honed tiles with tight joints will highlight lippage.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
