Sealing: Travertine is a porous natural stone and must be sealed before use and regularly thereafter. Apply a high-quality penetrating stone sealer prior to grouting, and reseal every 12–18 months in dry areas and every 6–12 months in wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors. Ivory and pale travertine tones show staining more readily, so consistent sealing is essential.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft mop or cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus), alkaline degreasers, and abrasive scrubbing pads — acids will etch the honed surface and dull its finish. Wipe up spills promptly, especially acidic substances like wine, juice, or coffee.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray bleed-through on the light ivory surface. Back-butter each large tile in addition to the substrate for full coverage and to prevent hollow spots. Use tile leveling clips during installation to ensure a flat, lippage-free surface. Allow thinset to fully cure before grouting, and use a sanded grout appropriate for joints wider than 1/8 inch.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
