Sealing: Silver Sky Marble should be sealed with a penetrating stone sealer before grouting and after installation. For wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors, re-seal every 6–12 months. The honed finish, while more forgiving than polished, is still porous and benefits from consistent sealing to guard against moisture and stain absorption.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or mop — never use vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, or ammonia-based products, as acids will etch and dull the marble surface. Wipe spills promptly, especially oils and acidic liquids. The honed finish is more forgiving of minor etching than polished marble but is not immune to damage from harsh chemicals.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any grey bleed-through on this lighter-toned marble. Back-butter each tile in addition to applying thinset to the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent hollow spots, especially on floors. Allow for 1/16" to 1/8" grout joints and use non-sanded grout for tighter joints or sanded grout for wider spacing as appropriate to your layout.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
