Sealing: Thassos White is a dense but highly porous white marble that must be sealed before grouting and use. Apply a premium penetrating stone sealer and reseal every 6–12 months in wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors. Because of its pure white color, consistent sealing is critical to prevent staining from soap, hard water, and cleaning products.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth or mop. Never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus), bleach, or abrasive scrubbers — acids will etch the honed surface and leave dull spots that are difficult to reverse on white marble. Wipe up spills, especially colored liquids like wine or coffee, immediately.

Installation: Use bright white polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid any grey bleed-through on this ultra-white stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to combing the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent hollow spots. For shower floors, ensure proper slope to drain. Use a non-sanded or fine-sanded grout in a white or light grey tone to complement the stone, and seal grout lines along with the tile surface.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
