Sealing: White Carrara marble is a porous stone that must be sealed before grouting and use. Apply a penetrating stone sealer and reapply every 6–12 months in wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors. The light color of Carrara makes regular sealing especially important to prevent staining from oils, soaps, and minerals.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone soap or mild dish soap diluted in warm water and a soft cloth or mop. Never use acidic cleaners such as vinegar, citrus-based products, or bleach — polished marble etches and loses its shine quickly on contact with acids. Avoid abrasive scrubbers that can scratch the high-gloss surface. Wipe spills immediately, especially coffee, wine, and citrus.

Installation: Use a white polymer-modified thinset mortar — never gray thinset, which can bleed through and discolor the pale stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to spreading thinset on the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent lippage on this large format. Use tile spacers for consistent grout joints and choose an unsanded or fine-sanded grout in a white or light grey tone to complement the stone. Allow thinset to cure fully before grouting or sealing.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
