Sealing: White Carrara honed marble is porous and should be sealed with a premium penetrating stone sealer before installation and immediately after grouting. In wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors, reseal every 6–12 months. The honed finish, while more forgiving of water spots than polished, still requires consistent sealing to prevent staining from shampoo, soap, and oils.

Cleaning: Use only pH-neutral stone cleaners — never acidic products such as vinegar, lemon-based cleaners, or bleach, which will etch and dull the honed surface permanently. Wipe spills promptly, especially red wine, coffee, and citrus juices. For daily maintenance, a damp microfiber mop with a stone-safe soap is all that is needed. Avoid abrasive scrubbers.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar — grey thinset can telegraph color through lighter marble tiles of this size. Back-butter each tile in addition to spreading thinset on the substrate, as the 18×36 format requires full coverage to prevent lippage and hollow spots. Use tile leveling clips to ensure a flat, even surface across large-format joints. Non-sanded grout is recommended for joints under 1/8 inch; sanded grout for wider joints. Allow a full 24 hours of cure time before walking on the surface.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
