Noce Travertine Split Face Mosaic1×1 Split Face

Small split-face squares of Noce travertine in walnut, caramel and mocha, mounted on a mesh-backed sheet for a deeply textured wall.

Noce travertine runs from walnut brown to caramel and tan, with the pitting and cross-cut veining typical of travertine. The 1×1 chips have a split face: a cleft, uneven surface that catches light and casts small shadows across the wall.

The chips are set in a straight grid on a mesh-backed sheet, so layout stays simple. The relief suits feature walls, backsplashes, shower accent walls and fireplace surrounds. Cream or ivory grout, dark walnut cabinetry and bronze or brass metals suit its warmth.

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Apply a penetrating stone sealer before grouting and again after installation. The split-face texture absorbs sealer readily, so a second coat is advised. Reseal about every 12 months in wet areas and every 1-2 years in dry ones.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner or diluted mild dish soap in warm water. Reach recessed areas with a soft brush. Avoid vinegar, citrus and other acidic cleaners, and abrasive scrubbers, which can etch the stone.

Expect This

Color, pitting and veining differ from chip to chip. That is part of natural travertine. The relief can hold dirt and soap residue, so brush it during routine cleaning.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Can I use this mosaic in a shower?

You can use it on a shower accent wall, sealed and set over a properly waterproofed substrate. Keep it off the shower floor, since the uneven split face is not suited to walking surfaces.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
