Sealing: Honey onyx is a porous and relatively soft stone that must be sealed before grouting and regularly thereafter. In wet areas such as showers, apply a penetrating stone sealer every 6–12 months. Because of the stone's translucency and pale tones, use a color-enhancing or neutral-cure sealer to avoid cloudiness on the polished surface.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or mop only. Never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus), alkaline degreasers, or abrasive scrubbers — onyx is highly susceptible to etching from acids and scratching from abrasives. Wipe spills immediately, especially oils, wine, and citrus-based products.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset to prevent show-through on the translucent onyx chips. Apply non-sanded grout for the tight mosaic joints. Back-butter each mesh sheet in addition to spreading thinset on the substrate for full coverage. Align mesh sheets carefully on the floor before setting to ensure the basketweave pattern flows consistently across the surface.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
