Sealing: Honey Onyx is a porous, calcite-based stone that must be sealed before grouting and after installation with a premium penetrating stone sealer. In wet areas such as showers, re-seal every 6–12 months to protect against moisture infiltration and staining. Given the pale, translucent nature of this stone, consistent sealing is critical to preserving its luminous appearance.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge only. Never use acidic cleaners such as vinegar, lemon-based products, or any bleach-containing solutions, as acids will etch the polished surface and permanently dull the stone's characteristic sheen. Wipe up spills — especially wine, citrus, and coffee — immediately to prevent staining and etching.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray or dark adhesive from telegraphing through the translucent stone. Apply thinset to both the substrate and back-butter each sheet to ensure full coverage and eliminate voids. Use unsanded or fine-sanded grout with joints under 1/8 inch; seal all grout lines as well. Align mesh sheets carefully during installation to maintain consistent joint spacing, and press firmly with a grout float to ensure full bond contact.
