Warm amber and honey travertine in a 3×6 subway format, tumbled for softened edges and a lightly pitted, matte face.

Gold Travertine moves from honey and caramel to ivory and russet, with natural pits and soft banding across the face. The tumbled finish rounds the edges and gives each tile a worn, matte surface with little glare.

The 3×6 format sets in a running bond or a stacked grid. It suits a kitchen backsplash, a bathroom wall or a feature wall. Seal the stone before grouting. Expect moderate tone and pattern variation from tile to tile (V3).

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Seal with a penetrating sealer made for porous stone before grouting. The tumbled surface and natural voids absorb readily, so cover the face fully. Reseal as the finish wears, more often in wet areas.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner in warm water with a soft cloth or brush. Avoid vinegar, citrus and bleach-based products, which can etch travertine. Skip abrasive pads.

Expect This

Natural pits, voids and banding are part of the stone. Tone and pattern vary from tile to tile, and edges are softly rounded. Order 10% extra for cuts and to blend across the install.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Can I use this tile in a shower?

You can use it on indoor walls, backsplashes and shower walls. Seal it before grouting and reseal as needed. Shower floors are not recommended for this tile.

Does it need to be sealed?

Sealing is recommended, and it protects the porous, tumbled face from moisture, oils and stains. Apply a penetrating sealer before grouting. Reseal over time, more often in wet areas.

Can I use it on floors?

Walls and backsplashes are the best fit for this tile. Tumbled travertine is not recommended for heavy-use floors, so check with us before planning a floor.

How much should I order?

Order your full quantity plus 10% to cover cuts and keep the job in one lot. Each 3×6 piece covers 0.125 sq ft. Samples are $7.99 each, up to 10 per order, and samples ship free.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free Shipping
Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
