A slim polished marble liner that draws a crisp violet-and-white line along backsplashes, bathroom niches and tile borders.

Calacatta Viola has a bright white ground with violet, lavender and warm gold veining. The polished finish deepens the contrast and adds a glossy sheen. This pencil liner measures 3/4 by 12 inches. Use it as a border, a transition or a finishing line beside field tile.

It frames a backsplash, edges a niche or marks the break between two tile zones. The narrow face adds a clean line without competing with the field tile. Free shipping on orders over $1,999 applies to moldings.

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Apply a penetrating stone sealer rated for polished marble before grouting and again after installation. In wet areas, reseal every 6-12 months. The light ground shows oils, soaps and hard-water minerals.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft, non-abrasive cloth. Avoid vinegar, lemon juice, bleach and other acidic or harsh cleaners, which can etch the polish. Wipe up spills promptly.

Expect This

Each piece has its own vein pattern and color distribution, with moderate (V3) variation. Dark violet areas and white areas will fall differently from piece to piece.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

What is a pencil liner used for?

You can use it as a slim border, a transition between tile zones, or a finishing line around a backsplash, niche or panel. At 3/4 inch wide, it adds a defined line beside the field tile.

How do I order a sample?

Add up to 10 samples to your order at $7.99 each. Samples ship free and go out within 1-3 business days. Seeing the veining in your own light helps you judge the white and violet tones.

Does it need to be sealed?

Seal it with a penetrating stone sealer before grouting and again after installation. Sealing helps protect the light polished surface from stains. Reseal on a regular schedule, more often in wet areas.

Does this molding ship free?

Orders over $1,999 qualify for free shipping, because this product is a molding. Orders below that amount ship at the rate calculated at checkout.

How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
