A deep black marble with white veining, offered as a 24 × 24 polished field tile.

Nero Marquina is a jet-black marble crossed by bright white veining, from hairline threads to broader branches. The polished face is reflective, so the contrast reads sharply in light. At 24 × 24, each piece covers 4 sq ft, which keeps grout lines to a minimum.

Use it on a feature wall, a bath wall, or a dry entry floor. Brushed brass, warm oak, and white marble accents sit well beside it. Polished marble can be slippery when wet, so keep floor use to dry areas.

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Seal with a penetrating stone sealer before installation. Reseal about every 12 months in dry areas. Marble is porous, and sealing helps resist stains from oils and hard water.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth or mop. Wipe spills promptly. Avoid vinegar, citrus products, and abrasive scrubbers, which can etch the polished surface.

Expect This

Veining and pattern will differ from tile to tile. Polished marble can show etching over time and is slippery when wet.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

How much should I order?

Each 24 × 24 piece covers 4 sq ft, and this tile is sold per sq ft. Add 10% to your measured area to allow for cuts, and order it all at once to stay within one lot.

Can I use it on a bathroom floor?

It works on dry bathroom floors and on bathroom walls. The polished face can be slippery when wet, so a honed or textured tile is a better choice for wet floors.

Can I use it outdoors?

This tile is intended for indoor floors and walls. For patios or other exterior areas, choose a tile rated for outdoor use.

How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
