A bright white polished marble in a 6 × 12 format, with a quiet crystalline surface that reflects light.

Polar Thassos White is a clean, bright white marble with very little veining. The polished face is smooth and reflective, with faint crystalline marks and soft tonal shifts that show it is natural stone. At 6 × 12, it suits a brick offset, vertical stack or herringbone layout.

Pair it with chrome, brushed nickel or brass, and with white oak or white cabinetry. Bright white thinset and bright white grout keep the surface clean and even. Polished white shows water spots and residue, so sealing matters.

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Apply a penetrating stone sealer before installation. In wet areas, reseal about every 12 months.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid vinegar, citrus, bleach and abrasive pads. Wipe spills quickly.

Expect This

Natural marble shows faint crystalline marks and subtle tonal shifts. Acids can etch the polished face, and water spots show easily on white.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Does this marble need sealing?

Seal it once with a penetrating stone sealer before installation, and reseal about every 12 months in wet areas. Polished white shows water spots and residue, so keeping the seal fresh helps it stay clear.

How much does one tile cover?

Each 6 × 12 tile covers 0.5 sq ft, so you can plan your quantity from your square footage. This tile is sold per sq ft. Add 10% to your total for cuts and layout.

How do I order a sample?

Order up to 10 samples per order at $7.99 each. Samples ship free, within 1-3 business days. It helps to view yours in the room's own light.

What thinset and grout should I use?

Use bright white polymer-modified thinset and a bright white grout for an even, clean look. Back-butter each tile for full coverage. Choose unsanded or fine-sanded grout to suit your joint width.

How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
