Sealing: Noce Travertine is a porous stone and must be sealed before installation and regularly thereafter. Apply a penetrating impregnating sealer prior to grouting, and reseal every 12–18 months in wet areas such as showers, or every 2–3 years in dry applications. The tumbled finish's open pores and natural voids make sealing especially important to prevent staining and moisture intrusion.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft mop or cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners such as vinegar, citrus-based products, or anything containing bleach, as these will etch and damage the stone surface. For the tumbled finish, avoid stiff-bristle scrubbers that can dislodge grout from pore voids; use a soft brush for textured recesses. Wipe up spills — particularly oils, wine, and acidic liquids — immediately.

Installation: Use a white or cream-colored polymer-modified thinset to avoid dark bleed-through on the lighter veined areas of the stone. Fill natural travertine voids with grout or a color-matched filler prior to or during grouting for a more refined finish, or leave them unfilled for a more rustic, authentic look. Use sanded grout for joints of 1/8 inch or wider, which is typical for tumbled stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to spreading thinset on the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent hollow spots. A 3/16"–1/4" notched trowel is recommended for this format.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
