Sealing: Thassos White is a highly porous crystalline marble that requires sealing before installation and after grouting. In wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors, apply a penetrating stone sealer every 12 months. Given its brilliant white color, consistent sealing is critical to prevent staining from iron-rich water, soaps, and organic materials.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth or mop — never use acidic cleaners such as vinegar, lemon-based products, or bleach, as these will etch and dull the honed surface. The honed finish is more forgiving of water spots than polished marble, but standing water should still be wiped up promptly to prevent mineral deposits and potential staining on this light stone.

Installation: Always use bright white polymer-modified thinset mortar — gray thinset can bleed through this pale, semi-translucent marble and cause permanent discoloration. Back-butter each large-format tile fully to ensure complete coverage and prevent lippage on floors. Use non-staining white grout and allow thinset to cure fully before grouting. Rectified edges on large-format tiles permit tighter grout joints for a more seamless appearance.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
