Sealing: Seagrass Limestone is a porous stone and must be sealed with a penetrating stone sealer before grouting and use. In wet areas such as showers, reapply sealer every 12 months or as needed. The natural pores and fossil inclusions in this stone make consistent sealing especially important to prevent staining from soap, oils, and minerals.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft mop or cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar, citrus-based products, and anything abrasive, as limestone is sensitive to acid etching. The tumbled finish is more forgiving of surface marks than a polished finish but still requires gentle, non-reactive cleaning products.

Installation: Use white or cream-colored polymer-modified thinset to avoid any dark show-through on the light stone chips. Apply non-sanded grout for the small mosaic joints (typically 1/16″–1/8″). Back-butter individual chips that appear poorly bonded through the mesh during layout. Align sheets carefully so the staggered brick pattern flows continuously across sheet seams. Allow full cure time before sealing and grouting.
