Walnut Travertine is a naturally formed limestone deposit celebrated for its layered, warm-toned beauty — ranging from deep walnut brown and toffee to softer caramel and ivory. Sourced from ancient geological formations, it carries the rich pitting, voids, and linear banding that define authentic travertine character.

Finished with a split-face cut, each strip in this 6×24 panel reveals the raw, textural cleft of the stone, creating a three-dimensional, rustic-modern surface with natural shadow play. Sealing: Travertine is a porous stone and must be sealed prior to installation and regularly thereafter. Apply a penetrating impregnating sealer before grouting and reseal every 12–18 months for interior applications, or annually for exterior installations. The split-face surface has elevated porosity due to its open, textured profile, so thorough sealer penetration is especially important.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft brush or cloth. The split-face texture will trap dust and debris — a soft-bristle brush helps dislodge particles from crevices. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus), bleach, or abrasive scrubbers, all of which can etch, stain, or erode the stone surface over time.

Installation: Use a polymer-modified white or gray thinset mortar appropriate for natural stone and back-butter each panel generously to ensure full contact behind the irregular split-face surface. Ensure the substrate wall is flat, plumb, and structurally sound before installation. For exterior applications, use a frost-resistant, exterior-rated thinset and grout. Allow panels to acclimate to room temperature before installation and mix panels from multiple boxes to blend natural color variation evenly across the wall.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Processing & Transit
In-stock orders are processed within 2–3 business days. Most tile and stone orders ship via scheduled LTL freight and typically arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on your destination. You'll receive tracking and carrier details by email as soon as your order leaves our warehouse.

Freight Delivery

  • Curbside delivery. The carrier unloads at the curb or driveway nearest your address; delivery does not include moving materials indoors or into a garage.
  • Scheduled appointment. The freight company contacts you directly to arrange a delivery window.
  • Signature required. An adult (18+) must be present to inspect and sign for the shipment.

Natural Variation
Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

  • Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
  • Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
  • Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
  • Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
