30-Day Returns: Uninstalled tile may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Inspect all tile carefully before installation — installed tile cannot be returned or exchanged. Samples are final sale.

Sealing: Travertine is a porous stone and must be sealed before grouting and use. Apply a penetrating stone sealer prior to installation, and reseal every 6–12 months in wet areas such as shower floors and bathroom floors. The tumbled finish, while matte, still requires consistent sealing to prevent staining from soaps, oils, and hard water minerals.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft mop or cloth. Never use acidic cleaners such as vinegar, lemon-based products, or grout haze removers, as acids will etch and pit the travertine surface. Avoid abrasive scrub pads that can scratch the stone or dislodge grout from the small mosaic joints.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any dark show-through on the light ivory stone. Apply non-sanded grout for the small 5/8-inch joints to achieve a smooth, consistent grout line. Back-butter each sheet in addition to troweling the substrate for full coverage, and align mesh sheets carefully before pressing firmly to ensure flat, even placement. Fill natural travertine voids with grout or a matching stone filler prior to sealing for a finished, polished look.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
