Sealing: Noce travertine must be sealed before installation and resealed at least once a year in dry areas, and every 6 months in high-moisture environments such as bathrooms. Because this tile is unfilled, the natural voids can trap moisture and contaminants if left unsealed; apply a penetrating impregnator sealer to both the surface and the open pores for maximum protection.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft mop or cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar, citrus-based products, and anything abrasive, as these will etch the stone surface and degrade the sealer over time. The brushed matte finish is more forgiving than polished travertine but still requires prompt cleanup of spills, especially wine, juice, and oils.

Installation: Use a white or beige polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid any gray bleed-through on this warm-toned stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to applying thinset to the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent hollow spots under the large 18×18 format. If you choose to fill the voids prior to installation, use an unsanded grout matched to the tile's tones and allow it to cure fully before grouting the field joints with a sanded grout.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
