Sealing: Noce travertine is a porous natural stone and must be sealed before grouting and after installation. Apply a penetrating stone sealer and reseal every 12 months in wet areas such as showers; every 1–2 years in dry applications. The split-face texture has increased surface area and will absorb sealers more readily — a second coat is recommended.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner or mild dish soap diluted in warm water. Avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar, citrus-based products, and abrasive scrubbers, which can etch and damage the natural stone surface. The textured split-face finish can trap dirt and soap residue — use a soft brush to reach recessed areas during routine cleaning.

Installation: Use a white or beige polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid dark bleed-through on lighter travertine chips. Back-butter each sheet for improved adhesion on wall applications. Use a non-sanded or wide-joint sanded grout depending on your joint size, and work grout carefully into the relief to fill all gaps. Ensure the substrate is flat and properly waterproofed before installation in wet areas.

Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
