Sealing: Noce travertine is a porous stone that requires sealing before grouting and again after installation. In wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors, re-seal every 12–18 months using a penetrating (impregnating) stone sealer. The tumbled finish, while less reflective than polished, is equally susceptible to moisture absorption and staining if left unsealed.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft mop or cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based), alkaline degreasers, and abrasive scrub pads, as these will etch the stone surface and degrade the sealer over time. Wipe up spills — especially oils, wine, and coffee — promptly to prevent staining.

Installation: Use a white or beige polymer-modified thinset to avoid bleed-through on the lighter chips. Back-butter the sheet lightly in addition to spreading thinset on the substrate for better adhesion on the textured tumbled surface. Use unsanded grout for joints up to 1/8 inch; for the natural voids in the travertine surface, fill with grout or a color-matched filler before final grouting. Align mesh sheets carefully during installation for consistent joint spacing.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
