Sealing: Noce travertine is a porous natural stone and must be sealed before grouting and regularly thereafter. Apply a penetrating (impregnating) sealer rated for travertine prior to installation, and reseal at least once a year in wet areas such as showers and around tub surrounds. The tumbled finish, while more forgiving visually, is equally porous and benefits from diligent sealing.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft mop or cloth — never use vinegar, citrus-based cleaners, bleach, or ammonia, as these will etch and discolor the stone surface. Wipe up spills promptly, especially acidic liquids like wine, juice, or coffee. Avoid abrasive scrubbing pads that can erode the tumbled surface texture over time.

Installation: Use a white or beige polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid bleed-through on lighter Ivory dot chips. Back-butter each mesh sheet lightly in addition to the substrate for maximum bond on textured tumbled surfaces. Use a non-sanded or fine-grain sanded grout suitable for the joint width of your layout. Fill any open travertine voids with grout or a color-matched filler prior to or during grouting. Align mesh sheets carefully, maintaining consistent joint spacing between sheets to preserve the pinwheel pattern across the field.

Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
