Sealing: Calacatta Viola in a honed finish is highly porous and must be sealed with a penetrating stone sealer before grouting and before first use. In wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors, re-seal every 6–12 months. The pale white ground is particularly susceptible to staining from oils, soaps, and colored liquids, so consistent sealing is essential to preserve the stone's beauty.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft microfiber cloth or mop. Never use vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline cleaners — marble etches easily and the honed finish will show dull spots from acid contact more visibly than a polished surface. Blot spills immediately, especially red wine, coffee, and oily substances.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any grey bleed-through on the bright white stone. Apply non-sanded grout for the narrow joints between hexagon chips. Back-butter each sheet lightly in addition to the substrate for full coverage and a flat, secure bond. Align mesh sheets carefully, maintaining consistent grout joint spacing at sheet seams. Allow thinset to cure fully before grouting.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.

Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
