Honey Onyx is a translucent natural stone prized for its warm amber, gold, and caramel tones, often streaked with cream, rust, and chocolate veining. Quarried in the Middle East and parts of Central Asia, this onyx forms through the slow deposition of calcium carbonate in cave and spring environments, producing a dense, glassy stone with an almost luminous inner glow. When polished, its surface achieves a mirror-like sheen that amplifies the stone's natural color depth and semi-translucency.

30-Day Returns: Uninstalled tile may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Inspect all tile carefully before installation — installed tile cannot be returned or exchanged. Samples are final sale.

Sealing: Honey Onyx is a porous and relatively soft stone that requires thorough sealing before grouting and again after installation. In wet areas such as showers, reapply a penetrating stone sealer every 6–12 months to prevent staining and moisture absorption. Use a high-quality impregnating sealer rated for onyx or calcite-based stones.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft, non-abrasive cloth — never use vinegar, citrus-based products, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline cleaner, as onyx is highly susceptible to etching. The polished surface can lose its sheen if exposed to harsh chemicals; promptly blot spills, especially from toiletries, oils, or acidic liquids.

Installation: Install with white polymer-modified thinset to prevent any gray bleed-through showing beneath the translucent stone. Use non-sanded grout for the narrow joints typical of pencil liner installations. Back-butter each piece fully for maximum adhesion, and align pieces carefully end-to-end for a continuous, seamless look. Allow thinset to cure fully before grouting or exposing to water.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
