Sealing: Honed Carrara marble is more porous than polished marble and must be sealed before grouting and regularly thereafter. Apply a high-quality penetrating stone sealer prior to installation and reseal every 6–12 months in wet areas such as showers, or annually in drier applications. White and light-toned marbles show staining more readily, so consistent sealing is especially important.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner or mild dish soap diluted in warm water. Wipe spills — especially acidic substances like citrus, wine, and vinegar — immediately, as honed marble is vulnerable to etching that can dull its matte surface. Avoid abrasive scrubbers, bleach-based products, and any acidic or alkaline cleaners that can damage the stone's surface over time.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any grey adhesive from telegraphing through the light stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to spreading thinset on the substrate to ensure full, void-free coverage — critical for large-format tiles. Use tile leveling clips to maintain a consistent plane and minimize lippage across the 12×24 format. Grout with an unsanded or fine-sanded grout depending on joint width, and always use a grout specifically compatible with natural stone.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
