Sealing: Asian Statuary marble should be sealed with a high-quality penetrating stone sealer prior to grouting and installation. In wet areas such as showers, reseal every 6–12 months to prevent moisture infiltration and staining. The bright white ground of this marble shows stains readily, so consistent sealing is especially important.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge — never use vinegar, citrus-based cleaners, or bleach, as acidic or alkaline products will etch the polished surface and dull its shine. Wipe up spills immediately, particularly oils, red wine, and citrus, as the white marble is susceptible to staining and acid etching.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray adhesive from telegraphing through the translucent white stone. Install mesh-backed sheets face-up, aligning the herringbone pattern between sheets carefully before the mortar sets. For shower and wet-area applications, use non-sanded grout for the small 1×2 chip joints and ensure all edges and penetrations are properly sealed with silicone caulk.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
