Sealing: Haisa Dark marble should be sealed with a penetrating stone sealer before installation and resealed every 12 months in wet areas such as showers and around sinks. Although its grey tones are more forgiving than white marbles, the honed surface is still porous and benefits from consistent sealing to prevent staining from oils, soaps, and minerals.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft microfiber cloth or mop. Avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar, citrus-based products, and abrasive scrubbing pads — acids will etch the honed surface and leave dull spots. For daily maintenance, a dry dust mop or light damp wipe is all that is needed.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any grey or dark adhesive from telegraphing through the tile. Back-butter each tile in addition to combing the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent hollow spots on this large format. Allow grout joints of at least 1/16 inch; use a sanded or non-sanded grout appropriate to your joint width. Ensure the substrate is flat to within 1/8 inch over 10 feet to avoid lippage across the large tile face.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
