Nova Grey Limestone18 × 18 Honed

A cool grey limestone with soft fossil markings and a matte honed surface, in a generous 18 × 18 format.

Nova Grey is a European limestone in quiet greys, with fossil impressions and gentle shifts in tone. The honed face is smooth and matte. It softens light instead of reflecting it, so the grain of the stone stays in front.

Each 18 × 18 tile covers 2.25 sq ft. Fewer grout joints give a calmer, more continuous surface. It suits indoor floors and walls, from living areas to bathroom walls and backsplashes. Limestone is porous, so plan to seal it.

As natural stone, color, fossil markings and texture vary from tile to tile. Samples are $7.99 each, up to 10 per order. Samples ship free, within 1-3 business days. Your sample comes from the lot we have in stock now, so it shows that lot's actual color range and finish. Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Seal before grouting and again after installation. Use a penetrating impregnating sealer made for limestone. In wet areas, reseal every 12 months or as needed.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner with a soft cloth or mop. Avoid vinegar, lemon-based products, bleach and other acids, which etch limestone.

Expect This

Color, fossil markings and texture differ from tile to tile. Honed limestone can still etch, so blot spills quickly, especially oil, wine and citrus.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Does Nova Grey need to be sealed?

Sealing keeps the stone protected from water marks and oil stains. Seal before grouting and again after installation with a penetrating sealer made for limestone. Limestone is porous, so reseal wet areas about every 12 months.

How much should I order?

Measure your area in square feet and add 10% for cuts, waste and future repairs. Each tile covers 2.25 sq ft, and the tile is sold per sq ft.

Can I use it outdoors?

Nova Grey is best planned for indoor floors and walls. Outdoor use isn't confirmed for this tile, and freeze-thaw climates call for specialist sealing, so ask us before planning an exterior project.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
