Latravonya travertine tile in warm beige filled-and-honed finish

LATRAVONYA TRAVERTINE

Distinctive travertine with warm earth tones and natural character. Versatile and durable for creating inviting, organic interiors and exteriors.

About Latravonya Travertine Filled & Honed 2×2 Hexagon Mosaic

Material Education

Latravonya travertine is a warm-toned natural limestone formed over millennia by mineral-rich spring waters in the Mediterranean region. It displays a creamy ivory to golden beige palette with soft linear banding, subtle pitting, and the characteristic warm undertones that have made travertine a timeless choice in luxury interiors. The honed finish smooths the surface to a matte, velvety sheen that enhances the stone's natural warmth without the reflectivity of a polish.

As a genuine natural stone, each tile will exhibit its own unique blend of tonal shifts, vein patterns, and organic texture — this variation is the hallmark of authentic travertine and contributes to the handcrafted character of the finished installation.

About this mosaic: Small 2×2 hexagon chips are filled, honed, and pre-arranged on a mesh-backed sheet, delivering the classic honeycomb pattern in a format that installs quickly and consistently across large surfaces.

Design & Inspiration

The creamy ivory and warm gold tones of Latravonya travertine pair beautifully with brushed brass or oil-rubbed bronze fixtures, white oak cabinetry, and soft linen textiles, fitting seamlessly into spa, Mediterranean, transitional, and earthy modern design schemes. Its muted, sun-warmed palette creates a grounded, organic atmosphere that balances both minimalist and richly layered interiors.

The 2×2 hexagon format adds geometric interest without overwhelming a space — ideal for bathroom floors, shower floors, and feature walls where the honeycomb pattern introduces visual rhythm at a human scale. The filled and honed surface provides a smooth, even plane that is comfortable underfoot and easy to maintain in wet environments.

Popular design combinations: pair with a large-format honed travertine field tile on surrounding walls and brushed brass shower fixtures for a cohesive spa-inspired bathroom. Latravonya travertine is a naturally formed limestone prized for its creamy ivory-to-golden-beige tones, soft linear veining, and warm organic character — quarried from the Mediterranean region and revered for centuries in classic and contemporary architecture alike.

Each chip is filled to eliminate the natural voids common in travertine and honed to a smooth, matte finish, resulting in a uniform, touchable surface with subtle depth. The 2×2 hexagon chips are factory-arranged in the timeless honeycomb pattern on a mesh-backed sheet, making alignment straightforward and installation significantly faster than hand-setting individual pieces.

This mosaic is ideally suited for bathroom floors, shower floors, and spa-style feature walls where its warm palette and slip-resistant grout joints shine. Because this is a clearance or specialty item, ordering a sample before committing to a full order is strongly recommended to confirm color and tone match with your existing materials.

Free Shipping: As a mosaic, this product qualifies for free curbside shipping on orders over $1,999 within the continental U.S. Orders below that threshold ship at standard rates calculated at checkout.

Processing & Delivery: Orders are processed within 2–3 business days. Large orders ship via LTL freight — curbside delivery only. An adult must be present to sign for delivery. Estimated transit: 2–10 business days after shipment.

30-Day Returns: Uninstalled tile may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Inspect all tile carefully before installation — installed tile cannot be returned or exchanged. Samples are final sale.

Exclusions: Free shipping does not apply to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses. Additional charges may apply for remote delivery areas.

Sealing: Travertine is a porous natural stone and must be sealed before grouting and use. Apply a premium penetrating stone sealer prior to installation and reseal every 6–12 months in wet areas such as showers. The honed finish, while durable, absorbs liquids more readily than a polished surface, making consistent sealing especially important.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft mop or cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based products), bleach, and abrasive scrubbers, all of which can etch or erode the honed finish and damage the filler material in the voids. Wipe spills promptly, particularly acidic substances like wine, juice, or coffee.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray bleed-through on the light-toned stone. Back-butter each mesh sheet for full coverage and a strong bond, especially on floor applications. Use non-sanded grout for joints under 1/8 inch; sanded grout is acceptable for wider joints. Align mesh sheets carefully on a flat surface, checking the hexagon pattern continuity before setting. Allow thinset to cure fully before grouting.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Order 10% overage for cuts, waste, and future repairs. Tile & Mosaic Depot specialists are available M–F 8:30AM–5PM PST at 855-797-8453.

Why Order a Sample
A screen can't show you how Calacatta veining reads under your kitchen lights or how a porcelain finish sits next to your cabinet color. A sample can. It's the single best way to buy stone or porcelain tile with confidence — and the cheapest mistake you'll ever avoid.

How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

Good to Know

  • Samples are final sale — non-returnable and non-refundable.
  • We recommend sampling before every full order, especially for natural stone.
  • Larger or custom quantity? Contact us for a tailored quote.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free Shipping
Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Questions Before You Order?
Call (855) 797-8453 or email sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com, Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5 PM PT. If you're unsure about freight access at your address, ask us before checkout — we'll flag anything that could hold up delivery.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.

Responsibility
Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. We are not responsible for installation, labor costs, substrate conditions, setting materials, product misuse, or damage from handling, sealing, maintenance, or chemicals. No claims, returns, or replacements are accepted on installed material.

California Proposition 65
