Honey Onyx Tile
Honey Onyx is the most popular onyx variety in our collection — warm amber and caramel tones with dramatic natural banding and a translucency that allows light to pass through the stone itself. Backlit, honey onyx glows with a rich golden warmth unlike any other material in interior design. Used in luxury hotel lobbies, high-end residential bathrooms, bars, and hospitality spaces worldwide.
The translucency of honey onyx
Onyx is formed from calcium carbonate deposited by mineral-rich water in caves and hot springs. Unlike marble, which is opaque, onyx forms in thin translucent layers — meaning light can pass through the stone. Honey onyx's amber and caramel banding intensifies dramatically when backlit, producing a glowing, jewel-like effect that is one of the most spectacular visual experiences in contemporary interior design. No porcelain or manufactured alternative can replicate this effect.
The backlit honey onyx effect
Install LED strip lighting behind a honey onyx panel and the stone transforms — amber and gold tones glow from within, banding becomes luminous, and the wall becomes the most dramatic focal point in any room. Used in master bathrooms, bar backdrops, reception desks, and hospitality spaces for maximum visual impact.

Important before ordering: Honey onyx is softer than marble — not suitable for high-traffic floors, shower floors, or surfaces subject to heavy daily use. It requires aggressive sealing and must not be cleaned with acidic products. V4 variation — each piece has genuinely unique banding pattern and color intensity. Free samples essential before purchasing — evaluate in your actual space under your real lighting. Polished finish recommended for maximum translucency in backlit applications.
