Sealing: Nova Grey Limestone must be sealed before grouting and again after installation. In wet areas such as showers and around sinks, reseal every 12 months or as needed. Use a high-quality penetrating impregnating sealer formulated for limestone. The lighter grey tones can show water marks and oil stains if left unsealed.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or mop. Avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar, lemon-based products, and bleach, as limestone is calcium-based and will etch on contact with acids. Blot spills immediately — especially oils, wine, and citrus — to prevent staining. The honed finish, while less prone to visible etching than polished, still requires gentle care.

Installation: Use white thinset mortar to prevent any gray bleed-through on this lighter stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to applying thinset to the substrate for proper coverage, especially at this large format. Allow for 1/8-inch grout joints minimum and use a sanded or large-joint grout appropriate for 18×18 tiles. Ensure the substrate is flat and stable — limestone can crack over uneven or flexible subfloors.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Natural Variation
Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
