Sealing: Asian Statuary marble in a honed finish is more porous than polished marble and must be sealed before grouting and use. Apply a penetrating impregnating sealer prior to installation and reseal every 6–12 months in wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors. White and pale marble is especially vulnerable to staining from oils, wine, and colored liquids — prompt sealing is critical.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft microfiber cloth or mop. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based products), bleach, and abrasive scrubbers, which will etch and dull the honed surface permanently. Wipe up spills — especially oils, coffee, and acidic liquids — immediately to prevent staining.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any grey bleed-through on the bright white stone. For the tight hexagon joints, use non-sanded grout to avoid scratching the honed marble surface. Align mesh sheets carefully during layout to maintain consistent grout line widths; back-butter individual sheets for better adhesion on wall applications. Allow full cure before grouting.

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.

Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
