Sealing: Thassos White is a highly porous, pure white marble that must be sealed before grouting and annually thereafter — or every 6 months in shower installations. Use a premium penetrating stone sealer formulated for white marble to prevent staining and discoloration of the bright field. The Ming Green serpentine inlay is denser but should be sealed as part of the overall piece.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — never use vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline product, as these will etch and dull the honed Thassos surface. Wipe up spills immediately, especially oils, coffee, and colored liquids, as the white stone will absorb pigment quickly. Avoid abrasive scrubbers that can scratch the matte honed finish.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar exclusively — gray thinset can bleed through porous white Thassos and cause permanent discoloration. Apply non-sanded grout in a closely matched white or soft gray tone for the inlay joints. Back-butter each piece fully for maximum adhesion on vertical wall installations, and use tile spacers to maintain consistent grout joint alignment with surrounding field tiles.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
