Sealing: Belgian Blue Limestone must be sealed before installation and again after grouting. Apply a penetrating stone sealer rated for limestone; reapply every 12–18 months in wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors. The brushed finish, while more forgiving than polished, still requires consistent sealing to prevent moisture absorption and staining.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft mop or cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar, citrus-based products, and any abrasive scrubbing pads, as acids will etch and dull the limestone surface. Wipe up spills — particularly oils, wine, and acidic liquids — promptly to prevent staining.

Installation: Use a white polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid shadowing through the stone's lighter areas. Back-butter each tile for full coverage, especially critical in wet areas to eliminate hollow spots. Use a 3/16" to 1/4" notched trowel appropriate for large-format tile. For floor installations, verify substrate flatness to within 1/8" over 10 feet to prevent lippage across the 16×24 format. Use a sanded grout in joints 1/8" or wider.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
