Sealing: Pietra Gray marble should be sealed with a premium penetrating stone sealer prior to installation and resealed every 12–18 months, especially in wet areas such as showers or bathroom floors. Despite its dark color, this stone is porous and susceptible to moisture infiltration and staining if left unsealed.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft mop or cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus), bleach, or abrasive scrubbing pads, which can etch the surface and degrade the natural finish. The brushed texture can trap fine debris, so regular dry sweeping or vacuuming is recommended before wet mopping.

Installation: Use a large-format tile trowel with back-buttering technique to ensure full mortar coverage and prevent hollow spots. A gray or charcoal unsanded or medium-bed thinset mortar is recommended to complement the stone's dark tones and avoid color bleed through grout joints. Use tile leveling clips during installation to account for the stone's natural thickness variation and ensure a flat, professional finish.
