Sealing: Honed Carrara marble is more porous and absorbent than polished marble and must be sealed before grouting and use. Apply a penetrating stone sealer and reapply every 6–12 months in kitchens and wet bath or shower areas. Because Carrara is a pale white stone, prompt sealing is essential to prevent staining from oils, wine, and hard water.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner or plain warm water and a soft cloth or sponge. Never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon-based products) or abrasive scrubbers, as these will etch the honed surface and dull the finish. Blot spills immediately — the matte surface is particularly susceptible to oil absorption if left unsealed or if the sealer has degraded.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid any grey bleed-through on this pale stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to applying thinset to the substrate for full coverage and to prevent lippage. Use non-sanded grout for joints under 1/8 inch to protect the tile edges. Allow full cure before exposing to water.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
