Sealing: Walnut Travertine must be sealed before installation and re-sealed every 1–2 years, especially in outdoor settings or wet areas such as pool surrounds. Use a penetrating, impregnating sealer rated for travertine and natural limestone. In freeze-thaw climates, consistent sealing is critical to prevent moisture infiltration and surface spalling.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and warm water only. Avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar, citrus-based products, or harsh degreasers, as these will etch the stone surface and degrade the sealer. For outdoor use, rinse with water regularly to remove organic debris, and avoid pressure washing at high settings which can enlarge natural voids.

Installation: Use a polymer-modified thinset mortar rated for exterior and large-format stone applications. Back-butter each paver fully to ensure complete coverage and prevent hollow spots, particularly important outdoors. Fill natural travertine voids with grout or thinset before grouting field joints. Use sanded grout in a complementary earthy tone for joints of 1/8 inch or wider. Ensure proper substrate slope for outdoor drainage.

Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
