Processing & Delivery: Orders are processed within 2–3 business days. Large orders ship via LTL freight — curbside delivery only. An adult must be present to sign for delivery. Estimated transit: 2–10 business days after shipment.

30-Day Returns: Uninstalled tile may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Inspect all tile carefully before installation — installed tile cannot be returned or exchanged. Samples are final sale.

Sealing: Scabos travertine is a porous stone and must be sealed before grouting and use. Apply a penetrating stone sealer prior to installation and re-seal every 6–12 months in wet areas such as showers. The tumbled finish, while matte, is still susceptible to moisture absorption and staining if left unsealed.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or mop. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based products) and alkaline degreasers, as these will etch and erode travertine over time. Blot spills promptly — especially oils and acidic liquids — to prevent staining in the natural voids and surface texture.

Installation: Use a white or tan polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid color bleed-through on the lighter cream chips. Align mesh sheets carefully, maintaining consistent 1/16–1/8 inch grout joints between sheets. Fill natural travertine voids with grout or a color-matched filler before or after installation. Use unsanded grout for joints under 1/8 inch. Back-butter individual sheets in addition to spreading thinset on the substrate for maximum adhesion, especially on shower floors.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
