The Emilia Piacenza mosaic brings together two of the most celebrated marbles in the world — the rare blue-veined Calacatta Bluette from the Apuan Alps of Europe and the brilliantly white crystalline Thassos from the Greek islands — in a single sophisticated mosaic tile. The result is a refined two-tone composition that feels both timeless and distinctly luxurious.

Polished to a high sheen, each marble chip reflects light generously, amplifying brightness in any space. The mosaic's geometric arrangement delivers visual rhythm and artisan detail, while the mesh backing ensures straightforward, accurate installation with uniform joint lines.

This mosaic is ideal for bathroom walls, shower surrounds, spa niches, and kitchen backsplashes where a statement surface is desired. Processing & Delivery: Orders are processed within 2–3 business days. Large orders ship via LTL freight — curbside delivery only. An adult must be present to sign for delivery. Estimated transit: 2–10 business days after shipment.

30-Day Returns: Uninstalled tile may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Inspect all tile carefully before installation — installed tile cannot be returned or exchanged. Samples are final sale.

Exclusions: Free shipping does not apply to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses. Additional charges may apply for remote delivery areas.

Sealing: Both Calacatta Bluette and Thassos White are light, porous marbles that require sealing before grouting and immediately after installation. In wet areas such as showers, re-seal every 6–12 months with a penetrating stone sealer to prevent moisture infiltration and staining. The white and pale blue tones are particularly susceptible to discoloration from oils, soaps, and hard water minerals.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth or mop — never use vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline cleaners, as these will etch the polished surface and dull the finish permanently. Wipe up spills — especially red wine, coffee, citrus, and toiletry products — immediately to prevent staining. Avoid abrasive scrubbers that can scratch the high-polish surface.

Installation: Always use white thinset mortar when installing pale marbles like Calacatta Bluette and Thassos White — gray thinset can telegraph through the stone and alter the finished color appearance. Apply non-sanded grout for mosaic joints under 1/8 inch. Back-butter each sheet lightly in addition to spreading thinset on the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent hollow spots. Align mesh sheets carefully for consistent grout joint continuity across the installation.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. A screen can't show you how Calacatta veining reads under your kitchen lights or how a porcelain finish sits next to your cabinet color. A sample can. It's the single best way to buy stone or porcelain tile with confidence — and the cheapest mistake you'll ever avoid.

How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
