A 6 × 12 honed marble subway tile in soft white, with fine grey veining and a smooth, matte face.

White Carrara has a soft white to light grey ground, crossed by feathery grey veining. The honed finish removes the shine and leaves a quiet, matte surface. Light moves across it gently, so the stone reads calm rather than glossy.

The 6 × 12 size is a classic subway proportion. Lay it in an offset brick, vertical stack or horizontal grid. It suits bathroom walls, kitchen backsplashes, feature walls and light-traffic indoor floors. Each piece covers 0.5 sq ft.

Veining and tone shift from tile to tile, as they do in any natural stone. Samples are $7.99 each, up to 10 per order. Samples ship free. Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Seal honed Carrara before grouting and again on a regular schedule. Use a penetrating stone sealer. Light marble shows stains easily, so keep up with resealing, especially in wet areas.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or mop. Avoid vinegar, lemon juice, bleach and abrasive cleaners. Wipe up coffee, wine and citrus quickly.

Expect This

Acids can etch a honed surface and leave dull spots. Veining and tone vary from piece to piece, which is normal for natural marble.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Can I use this tile on a floor?

Use it on indoor walls and on light-traffic indoor floors, such as a powder room. Marble can scratch and etch under heavy use, so it is a poor fit for high-traffic areas. Ask us before planning it for a shower floor.

Does honed Carrara need sealing?

Seal it before grouting, then reseal on a regular schedule. Honed marble is more porous than polished, so sealing helps protect the light surface from stains. A penetrating stone sealer is the usual choice.

How do I order a sample?

Order up to 10 samples per order at $7.99 each. Samples ship free and go out within 1-3 business days. Seeing the stone in your own light is the best way to judge its veining and tone.

How much should I order?

Measure your area, then add 10% for cuts and waste. Each 6 × 12 piece covers 0.5 sq ft. Order everything at once so the full job comes from one lot.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free Shipping
Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
