Asian Statuary, also sold as Oriental White, is a white marble with soft grey veining and occasional golden threads. The honed finish keeps the surface matte and low in sheen, so the stone reads calm rather than glossy.

The 4 × 12 format is a classic subway proportion. Lay it offset, stacked, or vertically on a shower wall or backsplash. Each tile carries its own veining, and shade variation is moderate (V3).

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Apply a penetrating stone sealer before installation and again before grouting. In showers, reapply every 6-12 months. On dry walls, yearly is usually enough.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth. Avoid vinegar, citrus and other acidic cleaners, which can etch a honed surface. Blot spills quickly.

Expect This

Veining and tone shift from tile to tile. Marble is porous and softer than porcelain, so it can etch and stain over time. Use white thinset to avoid grey show-through.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Questions

Can I use it in a shower?

You can use it on bathroom walls and shower surrounds. Seal the tile before grouting and reseal on a regular schedule. For a shower floor, check with us first.

Will my order match the sample?

Your sample comes from the lot we have in stock now, so it shows that lot's actual color range and finish. Future lots may look lighter, darker, or more veined, so order your full quantity plus 10% at once to keep the whole job from one lot.

Can I use it on a floor?

You can lay it on indoor residential floors with low to moderate foot traffic. Marble is softer than porcelain, so it suits dry, lighter-use areas best.

Does it need sealing?

Sealing is recommended. Apply a penetrating stone sealer before installation and grouting, then reseal as needed. Showers need it more often than dry walls.

How much should I order?

Each tile covers about 0.33 sq ft, and the tile is sold per sq ft. Measure your area, then add 10% for cuts and overage and order it all at once.

Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free Shipping
Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
