Sealing: Thassos White is an exceptionally dense marble but its pure white color makes staining highly visible — seal with a premium penetrating impregnating sealer before grouting and re-seal every 6–12 months in wet areas such as showers. Apply sealer to a clean, dry surface and wipe off any excess before it hazes.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft microfiber cloth or mop. Never use vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, ammonia, or any acidic or alkaline cleaner — the polished surface is highly susceptible to etching (dull marks) from acidic substances. Wipe up spills immediately, especially coffee, wine, citrus, and soaps.

Installation: Always use bright-white polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid color bleed-through on this translucent white stone — gray thinset can telegraph through and permanently gray the tile. Use non-sanded or unsanded grout for joints under 1/8 inch to prevent scratching the polished surface. Align mesh sheets carefully, butt edges snugly, and press firmly with a grout float to ensure full mosaic contact with the substrate. Back-butter individual chips as needed for full coverage on wall applications.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
