Sealing: Although Absolute Black granite is one of the densest natural stones available, sealing is still recommended to protect the polished surface from oils and mineral deposits. Apply a penetrating stone sealer upon installation and reseal annually in wet areas such as showers; every 2–3 years is sufficient for dry applications.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner or mild dish soap diluted in water — never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based), bleach, or abrasive scrubbing pads, as these can dull the polished finish over time. Wipe spills promptly, especially oils and colored liquids, to prevent surface staining.

Installation: Use a white or light gray polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid any bleed-through on the polished surface. Back-butter each tile in addition to applying thinset to the substrate for optimal adhesion and to eliminate hollow spots. Use tile spacers for consistent grout joints, and select a sanded or unsanded grout in a coordinating dark tone based on joint width.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Natural Variation
Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
