Sealing: Botticino Beige Marble should be sealed with a penetrating, pH-neutral impregnating sealer before grouting and after installation. In wet areas such as bathrooms and shower floors, reseal every 12 months; in low-traffic dry areas, resealing every 2–3 years is typically sufficient. As a light-toned stone, Botticino is especially susceptible to staining from oils, coffee, and acidic liquids, so diligent sealing is essential.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft microfiber mop or cloth — never use vinegar, citrus-based cleaners, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline product, as these will etch and dull the polished surface. The high-gloss polished finish will show water spots, soap residue, and fingerprints more readily than a honed finish; routine dry buffing with a soft cloth after damp mopping will maintain its mirror-like sheen.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent gray adhesive from telegraphing through the light-colored stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to applying thinset to the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent hollow spots beneath the large-format tiles. Use tile leveling clips to maintain consistent grout joint width and a perfectly flat plane; grout with a sanded or unsanded grout in a warm ivory or cream tone to complement the stone's natural palette.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
