A cream-to-ivory European limestone in a honed 18x18 format, with soft tonal movement and a quiet, matte surface.

Crema Europa is a European limestone in warm cream and ivory, with pale tan and taupe movement across the face. Fossil-like marks and soft, cloudy shifts differ from tile to tile. The honed finish is smooth and matte, so light reads soft rather than glossy.

At 18 × 18, it lays with fewer joints than a mosaic and suits indoor walls and low-traffic floors. Brushed brass, walnut and warm white sit comfortably beside it. Limestone is porous, so plan to seal it before grouting.

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Apply a penetrating sealer made for limestone before grouting and before first use. Reseal periodically. Pale tones show oils, coffee and colored liquids more readily.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft mop or cloth. Wipe spills right away. Avoid vinegar, lemon-based products, bleach and abrasive scrubbers.

Expect This

Expect moderate shade variation, soft tonal shifts and small natural marks from tile to tile. Acids can etch a honed surface and leave dull spots.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Does this limestone need sealing?

Sealing is recommended, and it works best before grouting. A penetrating sealer made for limestone helps guard the pale surface against stains. Reseal periodically as the finish wears.

How much should I order?

Measure the area in square feet, then add 10% for cuts and waste. Each 18 × 18 tile covers 2.25 sq ft. The tile is sold per sq ft.

What does a honed finish look like?

A honed finish gives a smooth, matte face with soft, low reflection. It shows the stone's cream and taupe tones without glare. Avoid acidic cleaners, which can leave dull spots.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
