Sealing: Seal both the Crema Marfil and Emperador Dark surfaces with a premium penetrating stone sealer before grouting and immediately after installation. In wet areas such as showers, reseal every 6–12 months to protect the pale ivory tones of Crema Marfil, which are particularly susceptible to staining from soap scum and hard water minerals.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft, damp cloth; avoid acidic products such as vinegar, citrus-based cleaners, or anything containing bleach, as these will etch and dull the polished surface. Wipe spills — especially oils, wine, and coffee — immediately, as the light ground of Crema Marfil will absorb pigmented liquids quickly if unsealed.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray bleed-through that could discolor the pale Crema Marfil face. Set bias border pieces carefully against a level reference line, mitering corners at matching angles; use non-sanded grout in a coordinating ivory or mocha tone for tight joints. Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
