Sealing: Crema Marfil is a relatively porous marble and should be sealed before grouting and use. Apply a penetrating stone sealer and reapply every 12 months in dry areas, or every 6 months in wet areas such as showers and around sinks. The light cream tone makes staining more visible, so consistent sealing is especially important.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft microfiber mop or cloth. Avoid acidic or alkaline cleaners — including vinegar, lemon-based products, bleach, and ammonia — as these will etch the polished surface and dull its sheen over time. Wipe up spills, especially from wine, coffee, and citrus, immediately.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent shadowing through the light-colored stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to combing the substrate to achieve full coverage and prevent lippage on the large-format tiles. Use a 3/16" or 1/4" grout joint with a sanded or unsanded grout matched to the tile color; leave a flat, even substrate as large-format marble is unforgiving of uneven surfaces.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
