Sealing: Limestone is a porous, acid-sensitive stone and must be sealed before grouting and regularly thereafter. Apply a penetrating stone sealer prior to first use and reseal every 6–12 months in wet areas such as showers — the honed finish, while more forgiving than polished, still requires consistent sealing to prevent moisture absorption and staining on this dark-toned stone.

Cleaning: Clean exclusively with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water; never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon-based products), bleach, or abrasive scrubbers, as limestone is highly vulnerable to etching and surface dulling. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
